Westbound works with three DJs who each perform at Stones of the Yarra Valley and
The Stables at Stones almost every weekend. Our DJs are all sharply dressed, professional musicians in their late-twenties/early thirties with really eclectic tastes in music.
With an extensive and ever-growing collection of songs at their disposal, our guys know exactly how to make your wedding a celebration of all the hilarious, nostalgic and meaningful tracks that brought you both together.
As our DJ service is entirely customisable, we take full direction from you in creating a playlist for your wedding. You may want us to stick to a specific list of tracks, hand-picked by you from our online catalogue, or just provide us with handful of songs you love and loathe (My Sharona anyone?), and leave the rest to us…

FAQ'S
Do you DJ anywhere other than Stones of the Yarra Valley?
At this stage we DJ exclusively at the venues at Stones of the Yarra Valley.
What is the cost of having a DJ?

I only need a DJ for a couple of hours - is there a minimum?
Our pricing is based on a four hour minimum. If you need a DJ for less time than this the pricing would still remain the same as a four hour function.
Do your DJs also MC?
Unfortunately not. From our experience the role of MC works best if done by a friend or family member.
Do I get to choose my DJ?
We use three highly experienced DJs who are all Stones regulars. We rotate them based on their availability and will confirm with you approximately one month prior to the function who your DJ will be.
How do I choose my songs?
We send out a form one month prior to the function to help you map out all the songs you'd like played. We have an extensive catalogue but you can of course request additional songs that we will source for you if they aren't on our list.
Do you offer one-on-one meetings?
We have created a comprehensive online form for your song selections which covers everything from timings to all your special requests. If you need any help at all we are available via phone and email any time during the lead up to your function.
I have specific tracks (eg an edited song for a dance or traditional cultural music) I would like to be played - is this possible?
Yes! You just need to supply us with the version of the track via MP3 before the function.
Can the DJ operate the music for my wedding ceremony?
The DJ will be setting up for your reception while your ceremony is taking place so unfortunately wouldn't be available. Stones will be able to advise other options for ceremony music.
I'm not quite sure of the exact timings of my function - can I still book a DJ?
Understandably you may not know the exact start and finish times so far out from your function. We will confirm with you closer to the date and even if your times change the quoted price will remain the same.
How far in advance can I book a DJ?
We take bookings up to a year in advance.
Are there any hidden costs?
No - the quoted fee includes GST, all equipment, travel to The Yarra Valley and preparation of your songs for the day. The only additional cost of having a DJ is that Stones require all function crew (including your DJ) to be supplied with a Crew Meal. This is organised directly with Stones and is completely separate to your booking with us.
What do I need to do to confirm the booking?
We take a 50% deposit to lock in the date with the balance due two weeks prior to the function. If you'd like to proceed with the booking, just let us know and we'll email you a booking agreement with instructions on how to organise the deposit.
